I'm a sucker for cool quotes. First, I would say yes, death is the only solution, since even monks can help monsters. But then I would say yes again, because charming monsters is the only mechanic that allows you to save monsters on a general basis.

But you have to consider, if she treasures all that is natural, then it's right to say that everything that happens, happens for a reason. If rangers kill monsters, it was meant to happen

Remember that druid quest where ou have to meet a bunch of spirits at the base of the waterfall? that's what I mean.

I think alot of people has his suggestion wrong, what I see is that he wants to be able to have a pet say tiger for example, then he wants to be able to do something to a troll to make his tiger look like a troll, but yet still continues to be a tiger (damage and armor wise). Thats how I see it

perhaps add a few more creatures to cap in presearing ie: Scales, devourers but not any enemy that would be stupid, specially seeing as, like some1 mentioned a person rushing pre, getting to droks capping a troll and basically just wrecking the whole balance of the game.

Would it ever be so fun for my ranger to run along with a Hydra. Yes, it would but like it has been said, the balance issue would clearly be chaotic. But then again, I've always wanted that cutesy little rabbit on top of the waterfal in Pre as a pet. Oh well.

Death Syndrome, THANK YOU. I've only seen four people in this entire thread actually read the OP's post carefully.

Ok, I get it. Then I'd like the cutesy rabbit taking the form of a hydra and go on a mad humping spree. There. Oh, and I'd have the only hydra that nimbles on carrots.

We just got new pets, don't be greedy Although some monsters being tamable would be a nice addition and another plus to be at least part ranger, I'm not too worried about it, there are other things that need implemented/fixed before we get new pets...my greens for instance

I'd like to cap a Rat, the Bunny, The bull and the Fungal Wallow but taking bigger creatures would be unfair in the arena. Get a run to droks, charm a Jade Armor and go to the ascalon arena as a level 7 ranger and just dance as the jade owns the whole other team. When are they adding more pets, a bee swarm would be awesome or a swarm of bats.

How stupid is it to have a creature totally nerfed as soon as it is captured? Say you capture a level 22 scrab. As soon as it is captured it loses 2 levels and all of its skills. This makes as much sense to me as 9 skill slots. While I wouldn't mind some current skins being used for pets, it really wouldn't make sense to have every creature become exactly equivalent to a wolf as soon as it is captured.

As I currently understand the system, different creatures have different advantages. The ability to capture any NPC would totally destroy existing balance as well as sanity.

Keep up the "/not signed" guys.

I understand aout it only being the skin of the monster, none of the skills being available, but...

Say you charm a scarab and then join a PUG and fight a mob of scarabs, how much time will be wasted with people trying to target/kill your pet?

This is what I was thinking when I saw this thread few minutes ago. Well, you fight against Monster and not pets (Except Wolf/Black Bear in Prophecies Pre-searing, First mission area in Faction and Charmed pet by Rangers monsters).

Well, fighting against "Animals" type (if they change for that Idea bc Animal type are only they can be charmed), think about Otyugh Cry.

Now that I think about it, I wouldn't mind have a whiptail devourer like Old Mac.
